π Welcome everyone!
We are excited to open a new conversation in our Youth Voices in Action series, highlighting young leaders driving meaningful engagement in programmes that shape decent work and employment outcomes, including for forcibly displaced youth.
Todayβs dialogue is especially timely as the ILO prepares to launch its new Training Package on Meaningful Youth Engagement (MYE), a resource designed to support practitioners, policymakers and partners in strengthening youth participation and influence across programmes.
We are honoured to welcome Aristarque (Aris) Ashige, Executive Director of CEFE Uganda and a Refugee Youth Decent Work & Enterprise Development Specialist from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
With more than 12 years of experience advancing youth economic empowerment across East, Central and Western Africa, Aris has supported thousands of young people in displacement and host communities through entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, digital skills and labour rights awareness. As a multilingual youth leader and refugee professional, he brings both technical expertise and lived experience to this conversation.
Letβs begin our exchange β and we encourage everyone to share your insights and reflections as we go π
