The EU–ILO Network of Youth Employment Experts is pleased to invite you to an online learning webinar exploring the latest global and regional trends affecting young people who are not in employment, education or training.
Youth NEET rates are rising again globally, reflecting persistent inequalities in young people’s transitions from education to decent work. The challenge remains particularly gendered, with young women disproportionately affected, including because of unpaid care responsibilities.
Drawing on the findings of the ILO’s Global Employment Trends for Youth 2026, the webinar will connect the latest evidence with national and local realities and examine the policy, institutional and service-delivery solutions being implemented in different contexts.
This webinar will explore:
What the latest global and regional data tell us about youth NEET trends.
Which young people are most at risk of becoming or remaining NEET.
How these trends are experienced across different country contexts.
What policy and practical solutions can support young people’s transitions into education, training and decent work.
What barriers continue to limit the design and scale-up of effective responses.
Participants will also have the opportunity to exchange experiences through facilitated discussions and reflect on how global trends and emerging solutions relate to their own contexts.
