We are closing this series of our partners' knowledge resources on youth employment with a youth-sensitive value chain assessment produced by the FAO.

The 'Youth Centered Value Chain Analysis' aims to measure the current engagement of youth in specific value chains in Kenyan counties of Siaya and Kakamega.

This study made a number of recommendations including:

- enhancing financial linkages to enable youth to start a business
- providing training and capacity building for youth
- monitoring working conditions, wages and informality with a gender lens
