Latinath Women, a women’s farmer group from Darma village in Darchula Nepal, Sankalpa Nepal a NGOs Narayan Joshi, previously had to travel far to collect water from a spring for irrigation purposes. Supported by Sankalpa Nepal, this group has recently finished constructing a simple water capturing pond near their garden, which is filled with rain water. Sankalpa has assisted 25 women farmer groups to harvest and store rainwater/spring water to irrigate their gardens. This activity is conducted under the Food security Project supported by the Water Charity's Fund for Local Initiatives.
