Webinar: ILO-IFAD Regional policy dialogue on youth employment in the rural economy, Wednesday 05 April, 09 AM UCT

Creating and promoting decent jobs for young people in the rural economy offers an opportunity to gain from the demographic dividend and absorb skilled young people into the agricultural labour market in Africa. Promoting decent jobs for young women and men is a key priority for the ILO and its tripartite constituents as highlighted in the 2019 Abidjan Declaration.
This multi-stakeholder dialogue, organised by ILO and IFAD, will bring together governments, social partners and other key stakeholders on the promotion of decent work in rural areas in Africa. The webinar will feature case studies on how to successfully invest in integrated agribusiness hubs. High-level panellists will discuss how to turn political priorities and commitments into scaled-up action for job creation.
